Yo..its Saturday again.

Ah football. Could anything be better than last week's classic. The greatest College Football game ever? mmm probably not.

Football first. USC won, Texas won, Georgia won, Alabama won same ole same ole. The Gamecocks beat Vanderbilt. Which should be a sure thing. But Vandy is better this year and who knows what we are. The neat thing was that Syvelle Newton was playing running back for us. Here is a guy who was our quarterback last year and a wide receiver for most of this year. Spurrier put him at Running back. He ran for 80 yards and a touch down. He caught one pass. He threw for 100 yards and 2 touchdowns. A breakout performance by any standard. And then, to top it all off, he got stepped on in a celebration pile. Ruptured Achillies Heel, out for the season. Chicken Curse? Could be. I don't think so, but whadyagonnado?

Baseball next. The World Series began today. I wont go on about how I don't want the Sox to win. They won game 1 tonight, so we will see what happens. Its really just about who breaks serve, so to speak. Otherwise it ends up in Game 7, where anyone can win. I don't really enjoy Games 1 very much as series games go. Its not until you get one out of the way that you know where you stand. Now we know. The Astros, really want to win tomorrow, but they don't have to. The Sox really do need to win though or else, the home field swings the other way. We will see.
